Position Summary
They work at the front desk in the lobby or waiting area, greeting clients and visitors and answering incoming calls. The Front Desk person is the first person with whom clients and visitors interact, they are important as the ‘face’ of CMWP, the image of the organization. The individual must be polished, professional, and articulate.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice. Answering the phone is always the primary function. This includes fielding calls and transferring them to the appropriate person or taking a message from the caller.
- Multi-line phone or switchboard experience.
- Strong spelling and grammar skills in taking effective messages
- Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or consumers/clients at once.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Efficient and accurate data entry skills
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate with staff, clients, vendors, and others.
- Basic knowledge such as basic math, alphabetical or numerical filing may also be required.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Respect for confidentiality and discretion.

- Patience in dealing with difficult clients and/or visitors.

- Assist departments as needed doing office work such as filing, copying, or scanning documents.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is generally required.
- Some formal office education or training as well as experience in a non-profit agency office, is preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided as necessary
Requirements and Physical Demands
- Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lb
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
