Silver Lining

The Vaccine Uptake Initiative, funded by the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL) and led by the Center for Multicultural Wellness and Prevention (CMWP), addresses the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and influenza, especially among older adults and people with disabilities. The initiative aims to boost vaccine uptake by implementing a nationwide campaign, conducting tailored outreach, hosting vaccine clinics, and providing necessary services such as transportation and appointment scheduling assistance. The ultimate goal is to simplify the vaccination process, increase awareness, and protect the health of older adults and individuals with disabilities across Orange County.
