Michael is retired after 44 years of health and social service in Central Florida. He has been a board member of CMWP since 2016. His work in public health has impressed on him the need for access for health care for all and the importance of strong health prevention efforts in our community.
Dr. Swannie Jett
Dr. Jett is currently the Health Commissioner of Brookline Public Health and Human Services in Brookline, MA. He serves as a Major in the Rhode Island Air National Guard. Dr. Jett is a National Leader in public health and was President of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) 2015-16. Dr. Jett holds a Doctorate of Public Health with emphasis in Preventive Medicine/Environmental Health from the University of Kentucky.
Dwight is a native of Hartford Connecticut, BORN MAY 14, 1947. He Joined the United States Air Force in 1966 and is a Viet Nam Vet. Dwight is a graduate with an A.S. Degree from Valencia College and a B.S Degree from Rollins College. Dwight is retired from Orange County Government and presently an Author of 2 books JUST FOCUS and BLURRED VISION and has completed His third book which is in the editing phase.
Leslie Sue Leiberman
Leslie Sue Lieberman, Ph.D. is a biomedical anthropologist specializing in obesity, eating behaviors and diabetes. She is a Professor Emerita from University of Central Florida and taught at the University of Florida and for the European Commission as a Visiting Scholar in a masters program in Sustainable Regional Health Systems. She has over 280 publications. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and other organizations. She is the Past-president of many organizations including the National Association of Academies of Science.
Vanette is a mother, adjunct professor, mentor and an attorney. She practices Estate planning, Immigration and Family Law. She lives by the belief that every day is a new opportunity to refine her skills. She states that there is never a moment when you get to the point of saying I have arrived, because as soon as you reach the top there is always another mountain that is higher than the one you just climbed.
Susan is an Executive Director of Human Resources for Florida Hospital. She brings to the Board a background in hospital operations, clinic management and health education. Susan has an undergraduate and master’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Business. She has a passion for people and preventive health.
Wendy Roman has more than 27 years’ experience in the health insurance industry with Humana Inc. During her career at Humana, Wendy has worked in various capacity, including the Customer Service Division, Marketing Support and is currently a DSNP Community Engagement Executive.
Wendy has been recognized for her service by the East Central Florida Health Council, Humana Woman’s Network Group, La Prensa Newspaper, and the Orange County Commission on Aging. Wendy continues to be an active member of the community by volunteering with the National Latino Peach Officers Associate and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Center for Multicultural Wellness and Prevention Inc. She also served on several advisory boards with Orange County. Wendy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
